Fruits and veggies come in over 200 different varieties! That’s over 200 ways to increase your intake of important vitamins, minerals, and fiber your body needs to stay energized and healthy. But did you know that all fruits and vegetables offer different kinds and amounts of nutrients? That’s why it’s important to eat a wide variety of both to make sure you are getting the essential nutrients your body needs.
Eating more fruits and veggies is easy to do when there are always various options offered to students during lunch. They can be served in many forms, such as fresh, frozen, canned, dried, or juiced, and are all just as nutritious. Fruits and veggies are also naturally low in calories, but the fiber leaves students feeling full and ready to take on the rest of the day!
